The legendary Swedish striker, who helped the Rossoneri to the Serie A title in the year 2022, makes a return to the capital city club, however, this time in a suit instead of a jersey.

The love affair between legendary striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his beloved AC Milan has a new chapter as the Swedish icon returns to the Rossonneri as a board member according to sources.

The 42-year-old spent two spells at the Italian capital city club during his journeyman career. The first between the years 2010 and 2012, when he made the switch to AC Milan following his time at Barcelona. And the second when he returned to lead the Milanese club to a famous Serie A title during his stint with Milan between 2020 and 2023.

Ibrahimovic helped Milan get their hands on the Italian domestic league title in 2022 after an 11-year wait as he sealed his place in the side’s folklore.

In a tearful moment, Ibrahimovic decided to pull the curtains down on an illustrious career after the 2022-23 campaign with the capital city club but is now said to be in line to take over a position in the club’s board.

Milan are currently placed third in the table with 29 points to their name after 15 games, with nine wins, a couple of draws and 4 losses in the campaign to date.

The Rossonneri are 9 points off the pace from table-toppers and cross-city rivals Inter, who lead the pack with 38 points from 15 games, closely followed by the legendary old lady of Italian football, Juventus, who have 36 points from 15 outings this season.

The esteemed Italian club also still have a chance to make it to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League if they manage to get the better of English side Newcastle in their final group F fixture, and French champions PSG go down to German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund in the other group game.

A scorer of incredible goals and a massive presence to be around, Ibrahimovic would bring his astonishing aura to the Milanese side if he does make a return to the club, however, this time in a suit instead of a jersey.
