Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga came out of Test retirement and was named in the squad for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh.
Wanindu Hasaranga, who announced his retirement from Test cricket last year, has returned to the fold for the ICC World Test Championship series against Bangladesh starting March 22.
The leg-spinning all-rounder is part of a strong spin attack for Sri Lanka that also includes Prabath Jayasuriya, Ramesh Mendis and all-rounders Nishan Peiris and Kamindu Mendis.
Dhananjaya de Silva, who was named Test skipper in February, continues at the helm, with Kusal Mendis as his deputy.

The Test series begins on March 22 in Sylhet with the following Test in Chattogram from March 30 and can go on till 3 April.
Hasaranga to Miss IPL 2024?
Hasaranga, who was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for his base price of INR 1.5 crore at the IPL 2024 player auction, may miss the first few games in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
SRH will open their campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens on March 23 and will go on to host Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad on March 27 and travelling to Ahmedabad to take on Gujarat Titans on Match 30.
Hasaranga may make his debut for SRH against Chennai Super Kings on April 5 in Hyderabad.
