The Indian men’s hockey team started their Asian Games 2023 campaign with the demolition of Uzbekistan on Sunday in China as the men in blue netted 16 unanswered goals against the opening-round opponents.
There were three hattricks scored as eight different players got their names on the scoresheet. Eleven of the strikes came from open play, while the other five were the results of penalty corners.
