English giants Manchester United had to endure yet another disappointing night in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday as they could only manage a 3-3 draw against the likes of Turkish club Galatasaray in their Group A clash.

United established a 2-goal lead early in the game thanks to strikes from Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes, but Galatasaray halved the arrears through Hakim Ziyech. Scott McTominay restored the two-goal cushion only to squander it again as Ziyech completed his brace before Muhammed Kerem Akturkoglu levelled the game.

Former United defender and pundit Rio Ferdinand shared a video from the commentary desk during the game.

United keeper Andre Onana came under fire for his howlers that cost the English side a win in Istanbul.

Manchester United sit in the last place in the group with just four points from five games. The Red Devils have managed to register just the solitary win in the elite European tournament this season while drawing one and losing the other three.

The top two teams advance to the knockout stages of the tournament while the third-placed team in each group will enter a playoff for UEFA Europa League.

United have one game left to play in the group stage and will take on German champions Bayern Munich in their final league encounter.

United will need to beat the Bundesliga giants and hope for a favourable result in the clash between Kobenhavn and Galatasaray, who are placed second and third in the group with 5 points each if the English side is to progress to the knockout rounds of the continental showpiece.

United are enduring a subpar season with Erik ten Hag at the helm as they are placed sixth in the Premier League table with 24 points from 13 games.

The side from Manchester will look to improve considerably if they are to give a decent showing of themselves in the season.
